Dirty Mouth

After changing Von's diaper Von took a clean wipe and stuff it into his mouth. Then he just sat there like whatever, I'm cool.

Camping We Will Go

Von's first camping trip was with Grandma and Grandpa Knofler, without Mommy or Daddy. While we went up for the day.

Row Row Row Your Boat

Von's first boat ride was on his Grandpa Knofler's new boat.

Water Baby

Von went swimming for the first time at the Dallas Swimming Pool. At first he wasn't quite sure about it but once he got use to the water he loved it or was it the toys in the water he loved, not really sure.

I'm A Big Kid Now

The first time Von drank out of a regular cup he was 4 1/2 months old. Because Von is very independent and wants to be just like the grown ups are he dropped the bottle early, refused a sippy cup for a long time and move on to using a regular cup all by himself too. Mommy and Daddy were not allowed to help.

Save Me, Grandpa

Grandma decided to dye her hair one of the weekends Von was staying there. When she came out of the bathroom with a bag on her head he did not recognize her and was scared. Grandpa had to save him. "She scares me too, Von," Grandpa said.

Favorite Toy

Von's favorite toy was given to him by Papa Barker (even though Nana Barker though it was too expensive).

My Sleeping Angel

I love to watch my baby sleep. He is so perfect. As I stare at him I am so amazed at the perfection of God. How he could make someone so flawless and give him to me. Thank you, God for my son.

Road Trip

Von had his first road trip when we moved from Detroit, Michigan to Portland, Oregon. Four full days in the car. He did really well as long as one of us were sitting with him.

Giggles

Von started cooing at 6 weeks
and giggling at 3 months!

A True Barker Boy

Von already has the Barker Boy look down at 3 months. Kinda scary, isn't it?

I'm Leaving On A Jet Plane

Von's first plane ride was 3/14 from Winsor to Edmonton. We went to see his Nana and Papa Barker and to meet his Uncle Matt and Uncle Mike. He slept the majority of the trip.

On Fire Hair Design

Von's first hair cut was at On Fire Hair Design, given by Brenda
(Jen's mom) on March 9th.
He was 6 weeks old.

So Strong

Von held his bottle on his own for the first time at 2 months (by accident). But it still counts.

Playing For The First Time

When Von was 6 weeks old his Nana Brenda and I had him laying on his jungle map watching the toys. Von reached up and touch the giraffe. It was the first time he had reach for an object on his own! We knew Steve wouldn't believe us but thankfully we got it on video camera to prove it. After viewing the video Steve has mysteriously "lost" it.

I Am The Man, Baby

Bath Time

Von's first bath was a couple days after coming home from the hospital, given by his Grandma Knofler. He hates to be cold.
